You begin to feel warm. Very warm, almost feverish actually. Your arm begins to tingle a bit, like something’s shaking it. The sensation begins to spread. You begin to pant a bit. It’s becoming harder to move, or for that matter, concentrate. You manage to lift your right arm a little, but it’s little help. Your limbs feel like jelly. Because they are. Your eyes dart to your arms, which have become a transparent shade of purple. The same goes for the rest of your body too. You almost feel paralyzed, save for the subtle jiggle your body makes. You’ve become some kind of gelatin or non-newtonian goo, suspended in a shape vaguely reminiscent to your prior appearance. If you weren’t in zero g right now, there’s no question you’d be a quivering puddle on the floor. Then, you see something out of the corner of your eye. It’s a scalpel, and it’s floating right towards you! Your eyes grimace as it floats closer towards your vulnerable body, no doubt piercing you in an unkind cut. And then... it goes through your body. It’s nearly seamless, too. One second, it’s pressing against your front, the next it’s exiting your back. Your jelly body must have just reformed around the puncture. You don’t feel any sort of wound or mark of any kind. In fact, it almost felt like a tickle. Maybe this new body won’t be so bad if you can figure out how to move. You see something else swinging towards you. This time, you don’t have anything to worry about. You ease up a bit. That is, until you realize it’s a beaker. You prepare to brace yourself, only to realize that it’s no use. “Schlup!” You feel your entire body squeezed through the bottleneck into the comparatively tiny container. You probably didn’t even fill 20% the volume you once did. If you had any chance of mobility before, you can forget about it now. You inaudibly grumble to yourself for a bit as you await your hopefully eventual freedom. Hopefully you don’t end up floating into the experiment cabinet before then. Or get flushed down a toilet.
