To the Fields
You decide to ignore the potentially haunted house and walk through the least spooky of the trails. The forest is still rather dark and the floor is full of dead leaves, seems no one has been maintaining the trails.
After an hour or so the forest begins to give way to an open field, you can see pumpkins and scarecrows in the distance. You notice some odd looking mushrooms around the scarecrows. You also notice a trail right where this one ends turning deeper into the forest... It looks like it's been maintained really recently; probably the newest part of this whole place.
