Pretzels!

You find yourself walking past food carts, enamored by all the smells. Hot dogs, turkey legs, pretzels… everything smelled heavenly. Your stomach lets out a mighty grumble… it had been a while since you’d had anything to eat... You wander up to the first stall you saw, manned only by an inattentive worker, hurriedly tying new pretzels, dipping them in the baking soda bath, reaching over to grab a new rope, repeating the process…

You open your mouth to try and say something to get their attention, but are abruptly interrupted by them grabbing… you!

You feel yourself swiftly squished, and kneaded, and rolled... into a thin rod. You cry out as you feel yourself dipped in the hot liquid bath! Then, before you even have a chance to acclimate to it… you’re set onto a baking sheet… brushed with a cool mixture of egg yolk, and various spices and salt… only to be gingerly placed in the oven!

At least you can still make out that pretzel smell!
