Sugar Rush

You see some cotton candy being given out and lick your lips, the sweet tenderness of all that delectable sugar. Mm mm! You reach into your pocket and reach around for some change. Let's see... Pocket lint... an empty wrapper... a parking ticket... Nothing. You sneak closer to the machine and try to avoid the attendant's gaze. The delicious treat will be mine you think as you rub your hands together in glee.

You wait for him to turn away as you lean over and lift open the machine. You dip your finger in and get a taste of the sugary treat, aaah, heavenly. You go for more but lose your footing and end up falling into the machine, the lid slamming shut on you and locking tight, trapping you inside! The attendant returns and turns the machine back on, you start to feel warm as you hear a loud burring noise. As the heat rises, your body begins to liquify, you stare at your goopy hand as it melts and trickles into the centre of the machine, the rest of you following as you try to clutch at the sides to at least attempt to crawl out.

The attendant opens up the machine as customers line up, the sign: “Free Cotton Candy” displayed in bright red letters, obvious enough for anyone to notice. Apparently not you though! He puts a stick in the machine and the sugary snack wraps around it, soft and fluffy pieces of yourself stuck to it as well with your eyes blinking in shock as a giant ball of cotton candy is made just from you! With a satisfied hum, the customer takes a bite as your eyes widen in horror!

Perhaps next time you should just read the sign and not be a thief! At least someone will enjoy the sugary snack at your expense!
