Giddy Up!

That Merry-Go-Round has been calling your name all day. Not literally, metaphorically, you can't seem to avoid the sound of that tune. You think it was “Daa daa daa daaaa daaaaa da da!” Or was it “Daa da da daaa daaa daaaaa?” Whilst you were thinking in your head, you've already gotten a seat on a prized horse... or at least the only one available. You're the oldest person on the ride, don't let that bother you.

As the tune plays and the ride begins to spin, you get a bit too excited and start rocking back and forth on horseback like you're in a Western, kicking your heels into the inanimate horse and shaking it furiously as if it were real. Suddenly, you hear a loud SNAP and the ride immediately comes to a halt. The ride attendant is a furious looking raccoon who kicks open the door to his booth and storms over to you with unbridled fury. “You think you're funny?” he begins as he scowls at you, “not only are you way too old to be riding on this thing, but you smashed up one of our best horses! She was three days away from retirement too...” He looks up at you as you sheepishly smile and offer to pay to repair it. “No no, this beaut, she was priceless. I'm going to need something genuine.” He pulls out a remote and presses a big, shiny red button in the centre. A laser fires out of it and shocks you, your body starts to contort and shift into a different shape as your face becomes longer, your back starts extending as you're forced onto your hands and feet as they slowly transform into hooves. You try to struggle free but it's no use as you lose control over your body and become a newly designed wooden horse, fit for usage.

The ride attendant fits you into the previously empty spot and pats you on the side as he gives a thumbs up. “Perfect, good as new! The park's open for quite a while, so you're gonna be on this ride for a while, if you get me” he smirks as he heads back to his booth and continues the ride. At least now that you're stuck here as an inanimate horse you get to remember that tune. You were completely wrong in both your guesses by the way.
